Blueberry Powerhouse Smoothie

About the benefits of the ingredients

What can I say...this is the most amazing smoothie you can take if you are facing a physical heavy day. Actually if you are not to busy during the day you won't sleep at night. That is a fact as I am the living experience of that. You will have so much energy that you need to have allot of physical activity to burn it. The cause of this energy is Hydrilla Verticillata. Hydrilla Verticillata is a unique fresh water plant that is a literal powerhouse of essential nutrients that our bodies need daily to function optimally.

Due to Hydrilla’s extraordinarily high levels of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, it only takes one teaspoon of this nutrient-rich, whole-food plant powder to give yourself a serious nutritional boost equivalent to eating over 2 pounds of fresh vegetables!

Other main ingredient of this smoothie is Blueberries. Blueberries are among the most nutrient dense berries. A 1 cup serving (148 grams) of blueberries contains (1, 2):

  • Fiber: 4 grams.
  • Vitamin C: 24% of the RDA.
  • Vitamin K: 36% of the RDA.
  • Manganese: 25% of the RDA.
  • Then it contains small amounts of various other nutrients.

Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate (aka vitamin B9), magnesium, iron, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium, and vitamin C. It is a very good source of dietary fiber, phosphorus, vitamin B1, zinc, protein, and choline.

Bananas are a very good source of vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. Bananas are further a good source of manganese, dietary fiber, biotin, and copper.

Last Flaxseed (also called linseeds) are a rich source of micronutrients, dietary fiber, manganese, vitamin B1, and the essential fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid, also known as ALA or omega-3.

As you can see taking this smoothie is like taking your multi-vitamin supplement.
